Aside from being a mobile DJ living in Kent and DJ'ing across the South East at many venues, I grew up in the UK, in the 80's! What was acceptable in the 80's? Is it still acceptable now?!! I can't answer those questions but what I do know from the evidence on the dance floor is that some disco music stands the test of time. Some fun disco tunes will never be forgotten.

In my opinion Michael Jackson is still king of the Disco no matter what anyone says! All mobile DJ's hold a place in their hearts for Michael because of the pure entertainment and rhythm in his music. People still try to do the moonwalk on the dance floor, and if the do it well it earns them respect!!  His music is still being remixed by the likes of Akon, Kanye West and Rihanna, because the rhythm in his music doesn't go out of date, it's brilliant to dance too! I recently bought the Thriller album 25th Anniversary editon. The thriller album is the biggest selling album of all time!! So Michael was definately acceptable in the 80's, his music is still great to listen to today and always fun at the disco.
